What is it?

It is our vision and mission to make the measurement of power quality and electrical power & energy available for everyone.

  • Open Source Power Quality and Energy Analyzer
  • Free Software stack on GitHub
  • Example, low budget hardware
  • Live Dashboard available

Software

The open and free software is written in pure Python and heavily uses numpy as well as scipy signal processing toolboxes. This makes the code very readable and easy to expand. See, what is going on in the background, no closed binaries.

  • Power Quality Parameters according to IEC 61000-4-30
  • Power and Energy Analysis
  • File-Based and Database storage available
  • Modbus TCP Interface for readout
  • More…

Hardware

Simple and cheap example hardware building on top of known embedded platforms like Arduino and Raspberry Pi

  • 3-Phase Voltage Measurement with up to 325Vrms
  • 3-Phase Current Measurement with variable sensors
  • Class 0.2 Accuracy
  • 12-Bit ADC with 48 kS/s from Arduino DUE
  • More…

Why do you need this?

  • Check, if the actual power quality meets the agreement of the electricity supply contract
  • You have problems with electrical appliances, probably affected by poor power supply?
  • Now check for yourself whether the quality standard according to EN 50160 is being met.
